Risk Disclosure
This Risk Disclosure describes some of the key risks associated with digital assets and with using SPACEDEX to trade, swap, or hold them. It is not exhaustive, and you should not use the Services unless you understand and accept these risks.
Volatility risk
Digital asset prices can be extremely volatile. Values can rise or fall sharply within minutes, driven by factors such as market sentiment, liquidity, regulatory news, or macroeconomic events. The price at which you buy, sell, or swap an asset can move significantly before or after your transaction is confirmed.
Loss of capital
You may lose some or all of the value of the funds you deposit, trade, or hold through the Services. Digital assets are not insured or guaranteed by any government or deposit protection scheme. Only commit funds that you can afford to lose.
Liquidity risk
Some digital assets have lower trading volume than others, which can make it harder to buy or sell at the price you expect, particularly during periods of high volatility or market stress. Reduced liquidity can widen spreads and increase the cost of executing a transaction.
Technology and security risk
Digital assets rely on blockchain networks, software, and infrastructure that can be affected by bugs, network congestion, forks, or security incidents such as hacking or theft. While we take measures to protect the Services, no system is completely secure, and technology failures outside our control can affect your ability to access or transact with your funds.
Regulatory risk
The legal and regulatory treatment of digital assets varies by jurisdiction and continues to evolve. Changes in law or regulation could affect the value of digital assets, restrict the availability of certain services, or affect your ability to access the Services.
Blockchain and transaction risk
Digital asset transactions settle on public blockchain networks and are generally irreversible once confirmed. If you send funds to an incorrect address, use the wrong network, omit a required memo or tag, or send an unsupported asset, your funds may be lost permanently and cannot be recovered. Network congestion, forks, upgrades, or validator issues can delay confirmations or affect the availability of an asset.
Custody and third-party providers
Deposits, withdrawals, and certain functions rely on third-party infrastructure and payment providers. The failure, insolvency, or security breach of a provider, or of a blockchain network itself, could affect your ability to access or move your funds. While we select providers with care, we do not control them and cannot guarantee their performance.
Availability of the Services
Access to the Services may be interrupted by scheduled maintenance, technical failures, network conditions, or events beyond our control. During such periods you may be unable to place or cancel orders, deposit, or withdraw, which can expose you to market movements while access is unavailable.
Tax
Buying, selling, swapping, or holding digital assets may have tax consequences that depend on your circumstances and where you live. You are solely responsible for determining and meeting your own tax obligations. We do not provide tax advice.
No guaranteed returns
Nothing on SPACEDEX is intended to suggest that any digital asset will increase in value, generate a return, or perform in any particular way. Any historical price data shown is provided for reference only and is not a prediction of future performance.
Do your own research
Before trading or swapping any digital asset, you should independently research the asset, understand how it works, and consider whether it is suitable for your circumstances. Where appropriate, consult an independent financial advisor. You are solely responsible for your decisions when using the Services.
